Hedy Lamarr is the one historical figure I'd like to meet. I've read a lot about her and her work with inventions and it's just a remarkable story. If you aren't familiar, do some research. An unsung hero of the 20th century.
Fun fact: Mel Brooks loved Buster Keaton, and in addition to the obvious Hedy Lamarr joke, the actual hidden homage was that "Hedley Lamar" was Buster's character's name in "General Nuisance" a 1941 Columbia short.
