My feeling is that if we’d given it a go & lost 4-0 I’d have been disappointed but accepting under the circumstances. But to watch us meekly try to defend for 90 & still lose 4-0 feels bad. Ange can say he wanted us to play like who we are but his team selection & subs were signals of intent.

I don’t know if doing that will make him successful, but if he were to be, it’s only way he can
Why he was given the armband is a mystery for all but the 'I'm here for the vibes' kinda people.
Someone posited that Romero is for spurs what Rodri is for city, and I think that's true
He didn’t ask them 3 to not press, or give away acres of space. Maddison would have started if he was fit.
Bottom line, we need better midfielders. Starting with a #6.
Even Accrington Stanley put up more of a fight at Anfield
If we went for it and got battered, he'd have got pelters for not being pragmatic, on a 1 goal lead, at Anfield.
Unless we qualified yesterday, he was always going to get abuse for his selection, set up, subs, appearance, accent, etc
My worry is that Ange told them to do that from the start and either decided not to or were incapable.
Either Ange lied, or he did tell them to play more attacking, and they refused to or were unable to. Each of those scenarios is damning.
Doesn’t seem like it would be. A rested Villa team at home with a few new players meet a battered survivors with not enough sleep
It can only go one way. I would be pleasantly surprised, if Spurs do anything in this game
Even Ipswich and Leicester beat us at home, when we were tired.
If it's the latter, then that should have been clear from the Brentford game. I hope it's neither of the former, though.
The least worst scenario is that they were too tired, but I fear last night they lost faith in Ange ball.
If he did say play “our way”, surely Brentford showed we’re not capable right now.
