Costco has absolutely no obligation to listen to anyone of these so-called attorneys general! They should all be disbarred for not knowing the law! I’m trying to do a coerce a publicly traded company in the free market to do the bidding of a convict is illegal! Costco Shih Tzu every one of them!
I can't read it....I had to have a friend break it down for me. I swear that the active club, militias, etc are using that and things done by the worst of humanity, and a "how to manual" and the heritage foundation scum 💯 have
Leave Costco alone! What, Republicans don't want to buy their tp unless only white men touch it? Costco doesn't have to do trump's bidding. This is just trump derangement syndrome.
they where always like this since the 20th century, they just dogwhistle it for year b4 they took the mask off in the past 12 years they never stop being fashos
Most MAGA are dumb af and have no idea what DEI is. They just think it means “Black” so they’re naturally against it.
A few MAGA know good and goddamn well that it’s non-discriminatory against whites, and it’s designed in part to blunt the effects of white racism. The MAGA base easy to exploit.
The anti-DEI folks simply believe only able-bodied, straight white, Christian men should be in significant or leadership roles. They’ve managed to spin the false narrative that DEI means unqualified, substandard, and unearned. Because this country is so disgustingly racist, it’s been an easy sell.
They think it's not about the best candidates and merit based hiring practices when it is based on merit. It gives a level playing field and not only wyt people being hired even if they're the least qualified. It's funny how they don't want everything to be about race when they're the one's talking
I believe these DEI initiatives are designed to help level the playing field but, frankly, I don’t envision it actually being fully level until there is a critical mass of “diversity” in ownership and decision-making positions across the board. That’s a much tougher row to hoe.
I had to contact a business about a personal issue and right up front, when your call is answered you are told that this company has a diverse staff and they expect you to honor that. It was a little flicker of light in this battle for DEI.
Does #Costco receive some federal subsidy that we don't know about? How are they going to tell a publicly traded company (whose shareholders voted overwhelmingly to keep DEI intact) how to run their international business? I guess there are some businesses that you can't just push around. #Resist
How peculiar that they suddenly became 'concerned' about this now that Don the con is president. Could it be that, oh I dunno, they're looking to raise their own MAGA credentials in MAGA world?
This MAGA Republican Party is nothing more than a criminal mob, threatening anyone and any business that won’t swear allegiance and pay protection to the Mafia Donald. In a normal world, the FBI would never let organized crime run free like this, especially out of the White House.
While their shareholders and millions of their customers say the very opposite.
Maybe those AGs should spend their time on more productive things like gun control.
How in the world can you cite concerns about discrimination and legal risks, while simultaneously removing them for marginalized and vulnerable groups?
It’s both oppressive AND a persecution complex. Absolutely bonkers.
just full on racists and misogynists. that stuff about staying out of business is only when matches their racism/sexism/xenophobia/environmental destruction goals.
Costco is a private company and the stockholders decided not to abandon DEI initiatives. Almost half of the states AGs coordinate to strong arm a private company? What happened to small government?
Non-governmental businesses can do whatever they want! This is government overreach and a very Communist move! No American company should bow to the felon Trump and his MAGA CULT, including all the AG's applying pressure! It's ALL BS and fearmongering!
Absolutely. This is all about white supremacy nonsense and breaking apart our nation. It's heartbreaking. Immigrants are why this country is here. *Granted it's stolen land, but white people have the least claim to it. This is all so stupid
Those gas prices would have to be REALLY low to justify driving 2 hours round trip, I know I'd burn through around 6-8 gallons of gas making that trip so any money "saved" on gasoline would be lost in the commute.
But I DID open the Costco account just the same, and will definitely buy when I can.
They just opened one last year in our town - it's literally 5 minutes away.
When we signed up, the employee said he has talked to people that would drive for like 2 hours with bags and coolers to stock up for a couple of months at a time. If you have freezer space, it might be worth it.

I will never travel to a red state for the rest of my life. they are evil.
Don’t let #DEI die.

Costco owes them no explanation.
We have something called freedom in this Country.
Dear AG Paxton:
It's called 'free enterprise' and corporations having free speech- things your party used to pretend to care about.
Take your concerns and blow them out your ass, you cock-eyed fuckwit.
Love & Kisses,
Costco

Republicans are immoral wholesale idiots.
The party that’s put an end to “identity politics”
How great for us.

JPMorgan has not dropped DEI.
Then someday the government will step in on the Trump Company
It’s both oppressive AND a persecution complex. Absolutely bonkers.
First they make them poor.
Then they use the police to attack them disguised as protecting society from criminals.
Now they can keep them poor by saying they can't be trusted as employees.
A vicous circle of oppression
Low gas prices and quality food makes it worth it
