Played Scrooge in our Church production when I was 12. My "Bah! Humbug!" got rave reviews in the (Unitarian) Church newsletter, true story. Part of Dickens' motivation for the play was his father being sent to the poor house.
Well, someone needs to make that difference, but I don’t see that happening under tyranny. Seems more likely they’ll be behind the destruction of human rights.
Capitalists are parasites of society. They have no conscience. They will enslave their own mother for profit given half a chance. Capitalists will try and suck the blood out of roadkill.
