Scholz was the German Chamberlain.
Merz has the chance to become the German Churchill.

Replete with pogroms.
Merz is a dry technocrat who will hopefully piss off enough moderates to realise that the extreme right wing is a Putin-controlled dumpster, & the way forward is led by SPD, Die Linke, & Die Grünen
Germany's mother?

Time will tell.
- War economy should be started
- Defense budget should be minimal 15%
- Weapons production should be 24/7
- Ukraine should get everything it need to defeat Russia
- Phase out USA
We do not deal with a Russian president in the USA

I see just a handful that will make no change criminal Trump & Nazi Musk are laughing about such low numbers and just speeding up their demolition efforts
It unfortunately the sad truth at this moment…
This might be asking too much. Habeck has what it takes to be a Churchill. I'd bet on Macron. Let's wait and see what today's meeting brings.
And for protesting, kicking, squealing and dragging his heels every step of the way.
Merz has the chance to become the German Chambermaid.
Merz, on the other hand, is talking about the need for Europe to declare Independence from the USA.

Merz wird zum deutschen Churchill.
Sure, why not.
But sometimes, a complete and utter cnut happens to be the right person at the right time. Churchill was awful, but Hitler was unambiguously worse, by large margins.
The question now is , Where’s Americas Churchill or FDR
I do agree on the point about Merz
I can provide a brief summary here: dont give them a fucking inch.
Wir werden sehen.
What Trump is doing right now is more how Chamberlain behaved. Making concessions by giving away other countries territories.
Instead, he (wrongly) made the concessions, but also massively increased defence expenditures by 150% from 1937 to 1939, allowing Churchill to be a lot more hawkish.
It's insulting to Chamberlain to compare him to Trump.
An *early* intervention would have been *vastly* superior to a late one.
And, credit where it's due, France wanted to intervene early on. But they had no support from their allies. Esp. the UK.
Churchill was a racist, arguably a white supremacist
What if Japan, instead of trying to conquer China, instead allied with Chiang Kai-shek against the communists?
* Both were adamantly anti-communist
* And anti-Russian
* And anti-...
I’d love it if you spread the word.
100 billion dollars is pocket change to us. We can finance the whole Ukrainian defense industry. And we’d be forever global heroes
During Scholz's Chancellorship: "Since Russia invaded in 2022, Germany has provided aid to Ukraine worth 44bn euros in total".
That's not Chamberlain-esque.
Merz is showing strong support for Ukraine, but it remains to be seen what he'll do.
