If I were them, I'd sue, since that's the standard approach to possible injustice in the U.S.
Of course, El Presidente Musk will be replacing as many judges as possible, so this might not be a practical approach.
Great. Now how about if we hire back and hire up a safe number of air traffic controllers, ethics monitors, lawyers and judges that are "retiring" because of the unethical actions of their "supervisors", researchers in such vital areas as cancer and infectious disease? Just a few thoughts.
honest question here from some outsiders, how many of the people who voted for trump really regret it now? or is his following still the majority of US citizens?
Anyone who has actually managed people knows that “unfiring” someone is very problematic. Assuming they don’t laugh in your face and tell you to f off, they won’t trust you again and their morale and productivity will be significantly reduced.
This administration is nothing but one vindictive man surrounded by cowards that won't stand up for humanity. When do we fight back? At this point, civil war is favorable to losing our country.
I worked in the USAF alongside experts at the DOE and DOD. These people were the backbone of their agencies. I could not have advanced my R&D work without them.

The mistake was that DOGE undertook a blanket firing of staff, without any assessment of what staff actually did.
There was no accident
Maybe letting Musk run everything isn't such a good idea.
Off course a real newspaper would have called him out before the election rather than acquiesce to the dictator in chief.
