Probably something about the way that information propagates and smooths over the zeitgeist that the first time I heard of the Lizard People conspiracy I was like "Like in the TV show V?" and just now I was like "oh right V existed" while never forgetting the conspiracy theory.

Lizard people aside, the miniseries is worthwhile. Scientists framed by authoritarian evil! Black market eggs! Earth's resources stripped with no regard for future generations!

It's a hokey 80s product in a lot of ways, but the bones of the story are anti-fascist and surprisingly relevant now.
