Some “around the world” type quests. Like a long voyage that has you conquer each sea fort in one go for Order of souls emissary (maybe each fort captain has a key part), or deliveries that take you to every outpost for merchants. Something that feels like a real risky trial.
I’d like to have limited time event new islands pop up in different places randomly on each server occasionally. They’d appear like a mirage on the horizon, and become clearer as you got closer. They’d have unique quests that can only be done on there with commendations and cosmetics tied to them.
The ability to switch out ships at port (safer and high seas) so that you can unload your supply cache and switch to a bigger or smaller ship for friends who are coming on to play or signing off.
Although more seriously - I wouldn't mind more captaincy cosmetics and ship's banners. Maybe more additions to Guilds and some more items to make the level 100-500 grind in trading companies more worth it for the inbetween levels [other than the rings].
Fix the stairs in every tavern to open a portal to a 'Safe Zone' where pirates can mingle. Offer board games, card games, & dice games where pirates can wager small amounts of gold coin to play against each other.
- storms can damage (and break) masts when you keep full sail
- store outfits
and for me personally, but that may lower the playability for others:
- no sailing against the wind except when in range of an island (for docking etc)
- wind shadows behind islands, big rocks and bigger ships
- dolphins! With the same behavior as seagulls, it shouldn't be too difficult to achieve!
- a rework of the merchant bottle quests (crate of fruit/wood/balls) because it's a nightmare to complete...too rare. We should have this as a quest on demand.
- a reward boost for merchant quests
Card minigames I like for both the RDR style mini-game style annnnnd since it will probably be out in the open like Outpost Taverns, the possibility to steal gold pouches being bet 👀
Honestly, you guys nailed it with fishing voyages. Modernizing the Hunter's Call was it. That said,
- A swarming boss, like a group of sharks
- Skeletons that use new items (from firebombs to the new pistol)
- Bread to find and cook (recycling the existing model)
- Adventures returning as Tall Tales
Oh! And more customization options for existing items, less new items and more utility for current item. Like:
- Purchased hats on mannequins and hatracks
- flags on rowboats
- per-cannon customization
- per-sail customization
- and I'd love to be able to put trinkets on the outside of my boat.
New solo-friendly voyages making use of an enchanted compass (as in the Legendary Searches and Vaults). Love the mechanic, but not the voyages it's attached to.
Also, a revamp to hourglass xp gains. More rewards for actions taken (cannon shots landed, buckets bailed, players killed...), and less focus on wins and streaks which are pretty unobtainable for newer players, driving them away.
I'd say as a rough bench mark, after a 10-15 min fight (not running away, actually fighting), the loosing player should get around half the XP of the winning player (assuming no streak bonuses in play).
In other words, the reward for playing should be roughly the same as the "bonus" for winning.
I feel like this would help a lot both with number of players engaging with hourglass, and reducing the number of players running away the entire time trying to get you to quit. It would also make loosing far less frustrating, especially after long fights.
Given other's have said all my good ideas, have this evil one.
Chest of Betrayal: A high value cursed chest. Rewards and commendations apply only to the pirate selling it. Creates a ship sized zone in which friendly fire is active.
I gave up on this game because there was no way to set up a proper rp environment, where a group could get together without crew or pvp restrictions holding us back
I would say :
- A better reward for defeating the Kraken
- Ability to save outfits as presets (i spend a ridiculous time at finding the right clothes, and my crew hate me for this 😅)
World event that sees portals open to a maze in the Sea of the Damned. Players rush in to collect as much treasure as possible from the procedurally generated maze, extracting loot via the Siren Statues. Maze changes layout periodically. Allows for a more focused, on-foot PvP experience.
Waterspouts. They could be a rare occurrence in the middle of storms. They can spin your ship around in the water and lift players out of their boats or off the ground and throw them some distance.
Truly custom servers for setting up special events and charity events. server session owner would be able to set ship types, supplies and resources, etc. Would help cut down on tons of RNG and effort.
Also the pet goats that are in the art book please. As an IRL goat rancher, I can help with this!
My own private hideout that i can decorate, earrings, the ability to get a delicious cup of broth from Hendrick’s pot, discounts reinstated for seapost cosmetics
Being able to use the shovel to knock back skeletons that spawn while you’re trying to dig up treasure. Just so you can get it out the sand enough to find it again after fighting the skellies. Shovel knock back only available while digging up treasure and cannot be used against other players.
- Adventure Replay (and new adventures)
- New Skins (not reskins)
- Ability to transfer Captaincy if the Captain has to leave
- Oh, and give that man his pet crab
Favorited Equipment Options - No more scrolling through pages of cosmetics to find the right weapon
Crate "Take" Filters - Being able to filter what items you want to take for your Fruit Crate. Maybe I want to sell the fruit crate but I'd rather sell 50 bananas rather than my pineapple and mangoes.
I don't necessarily agree with most of these but the last one would be so nice. I don't prefer player combat, but it is critical to warn players about it. So many people play for the first time, encounter a hostile player, and don't have any desire to come back.
are you sure you want this question answered because as I see it there a list of many things but that just because you guys added so much into that ended of as one off and as I see it you could flesh out the game to be something
It would be interesting to see a rework of the Kraken encounter. It was the bbeg in the early days, but now it feels a little underwhelming compared to other encounters.
Since loot drops were added to emergent world events, Karen had been done dirty. 4 minor pieces of loot on a sloop it's absolutely useless. The meg and skelly ships drop at least 10.
I wouldn’t mind a bag that you can put like 2/3 skulls/small items in to make transferring stuff easier. Oh and a Moby Dick style encounter to go alongside Krakens and Megs
Assigning barrels for certain resources on owned ships so inventory sorts itself
Un/loading goods at ports via cranes
Map wide weekly horde missions with skeletons attacking & shutting down islands
One time use, ultra rare items like kraken summoning orbs at sea
More ship styling for sloops
Outfit/Ship wardrobes to save presets of cosmetic combinations - I don't understand how this isn't a thing yet in a game which mainly consists of cosmetic progression
Comments
The costume would override consideration for whether the crew members had actually unlocked these appearances and would be inclusive of vanity.
This way when your friends log on you could switch from your sloop to brig or galley without needing to resupply.
would love to do more than just putting some meat or fruit on a pan and wait a few seconds 😊🥘
It's insane the way it is now.
At the very least new ones should be on the first page separate from the bazillion others.
Blues, purples, pinks all look like they were washed in coal dust.
Sequel! Sequel! Sequel!
2. Whale Sightings
3. Giant Turtle Island
4. Polar Biome
5. Anchor Hooks & Peglegs
6. Captain Hook Outfit & Easter Egg
Bottle quests and mysterious journals do not spawn enough of these. 💔
Although more seriously - I wouldn't mind more captaincy cosmetics and ship's banners. Maybe more additions to Guilds and some more items to make the level 100-500 grind in trading companies more worth it for the inbetween levels [other than the rings].
It'll incentivise more casuals to play outside boosted weekends, and it'll improve the matchmaking pool and overall experience.
Do you go for that 2nd streak?
Place it under "Daily Deeds".
More sea life! (Turtles)
Pets holding/gathering items!
- store outfits

-Ramsey shipmate
Also Hendrick shipmate 🙏

Few things more frustrating than joining a session only for the ship to be anchored at an outpost and no one doing anything.
-Lances, which should have longer reach than swords but deals less damage.
-Bows, which is quieter than guns but need to be pull all the way for full range and damage.
-A tundra-like sea biome with a japanese styled outpost.
Saved load outs of clothes, equipment, ship parts/decorations, etc.
Random buttons on all menus for clothes, equipment, ship parts/decorations, etc.
In other words, the reward for playing should be roughly the same as the "bonus" for winning.
I would love east Asian style ships as well as others.
Basically savable outfits and loadouts in the form of customizable trinkets.
Could also prove interesting in PvP scenarios being able to swap weapons at multiple points throughout the ship.
Chest of Betrayal: A high value cursed chest. Rewards and commendations apply only to the pirate selling it. Creates a ship sized zone in which friendly fire is active.
Oh and also this below right here!
I gave up on this game because there was no way to set up a proper rp environment, where a group could get together without crew or pvp restrictions holding us back
also proper dungeons would be life changing
- A better reward for defeating the Kraken
- Ability to save outfits as presets (i spend a ridiculous time at finding the right clothes, and my crew hate me for this 😅)
I'll make an argument for a different character from Grabbed by the Ghoulies.
The ship to ship battles would be *INTENSE*
I feel I had to make this response.

Perk trees.
Crate "Take" Filters - Being able to filter what items you want to take for your Fruit Crate. Maybe I want to sell the fruit crate but I'd rather sell 50 bananas rather than my pineapple and mangoes.
-Revert blunderbuss changes
-Revert enemy armory changes
-Something to HARD discourage running/avoiding pvp (better value or make running harder)
-Make the major presence of PvP obvious in the marketing???? (why isn't it already)
Don’t know how to outfit your ship or your pirate? Hit the random button & set off on your adventures looking like a whole ass mess 🤡
PLEASE
See also, friendly freaking fire toggle!!!
World Event across servers.
10 v 10 (or etc) Big ship battles. Pirates of the Caribbean style
