It’s not just that it’s morally indefensible for Labour to cut more disability support than Tories ever dreamed of.
It’s that we have been living in the fallout from the last round of austerity & they have learnt absolutely NOTHING. Making the poor poorer COSTS US MORE #r4today

Regardless the abject unfairness of austerity, the economics aren’t very hard to grasp.
If that sounds too like a conspiracy...
Just to remind people of PFIs for example, we got a £13bn injection into the NHS with an £80bn+ payback to the private sector, money we continue to pay to...
History, as they say, doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes.

Green voters got lots of vitriol for criticising Labour when everyone wanted the Tories out. But as warned, we jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire.
They are combating policies like winter fuel cuts, bedroom tax, and 2 child benefit cap.
Scotland is the only part of UK where child poverty is decreasing
Money talks. Time to get some boycotts going.

I only found 5! Had low expectations but they managed to disappoint them

@samfr.bsky.social has written about this a bit.
Right now we just have billionaire owned press telling everyone it's being wasted.
Here's data from the office of budget responsibility (an organisation setup by the Tories to maintain help austerity into the future) that has us closer to the bottom than the top!

Stop helping spread their lies.
We're a wealthy country, with a progressive tax system, like the Nordic model, we'd all have incredible lives.

It was a disaster then & it’s a disaster & a betrayal now. A total lie that it reflects the manifesto they were elected on. #r4today

We must redistribute wealth - our communities will not see the investment we desperately need off the backs of the poor. #r4today
They’re moving the goalposts on how much disabled people have to struggle & suffer based on nothing more than their own opinions of how much a person should struggle & suffer.
Utterly reprehensible.
We need Parliamentary and Electoral Reform too, but without the local actions won't make a difference
14years of this crap, the welfare bill continues to rise, so it clearly just hasn't actually worked at all.
I totally agree. There has been no benefit to austerity, in fact it's harmed the economy more than allowing people to live with dignity would.
What it has achieved is just wasting tax payer's money by increasing a huge range of other costs for no good reason.
I fucking hate being British these days.
It would be more truthful to say its because nothing has changed and never will.
