my apologies - i didn't even think about those types of games because i think the last time i played any major multiplayer shooter was Quake 3 Arena. 😂
On the job I need to use Win11 but they pay me to do so. Now they are introducing the option to use Ubuntu for some classes of users so something is improving also there.

Lots of settings still existed in a consistent way, it didn't destroy data with arbitrary reboots, no horrible flat UX, and "Documents" in the search box actually called up my documents instead of "Documents library privacy settings"...
