Pretty sure a big chunk of the Easter Mass I went to at Church of the Advent was in Latin, honestly.

I know the whole thing was sung. That church makes Roman Catholicism look Congregationalist.

The first Episcopal parish I ever went to regularly was an east-facing choral mass in Latin kind of place, about a block from the most post-Vatican II beige Catholic parish on earth and the contrast was STRIKING

(No shade; the RCC parish was very nice and the first place I ever went to confession)

in Philadelphia I laid out vestments for weekday Mass complete with maniple at least once a week. We were directed to neatly arrange the stole, cincture, and maniple to spell out IHS

The parish I’m with rn that does it definitely doesn’t use maniples tho, and the one where we did use them didn’t lay them out this way - so there’s at least some variation

Oh! That’s… a great question. I think it must be that the whole thing is positioned so the central orphrey on the chasuble serves as the I? I haven’t looked very closely, only noticed the cincture S and that it was reset to that between services

It probably is. I wouldn't know. I was a residential intern at a large historic Anglo-Catholic church for a year and that's my only hands-on liturgical experience with this niche of the tradition.
