I mean I've had people play the game a couple times who didn't know that was a quest.
It is missable content and that makes it all the more important to me.
Well, he definitely wouldn't have fallen for The Devil ending. Hmm. Probably wouldn't have felt great about straight up destroying a facility. If he's played Phantom Liberty, I'd bet he did the ending where V just becomes a boring regular person again.
That ending was actually super depressing. There's really only maybe one "happy" ending, and an ending that's just an ellipsis. The others all suck (they're well written, but crushing)
So Mi has been Myers' slave for years. A lot of those cybernetic implants were not added consensually. Same for crossing the black wall. She's functionally a war slave.
Ohhh, yeah. I haven't played enough to try, but technically can't she die, but the NUSA Prez will honor the deal? I thought there was a way to finagle that. Maybe it's one of those things where it's a secret possibility if you "charm" the Prez or Reed enough.
i disagree i don’t like over spiced settings (cyberpunk AND fantasy, wild west AND zombies) but then i mainly play historical or near historical rpgs now - im an outlier - i should try amber one day
I always liked Shadowrun 3rd edition. Well, theoretically (it looks fun and easy to understand). I never bothered with anything later because... something about hooking, what is basically a wireless access point, to your brown bothers me. Even before I got into cybersecurity.
Look. We can fix some things. But crashing and skiding? That's a bridge too far for FASA and CGL. It's a pox on battletech and Shadowrun. You'd think being owned by a baseball card company would give them ideas.
Bro wtf, no offering, no speech is one thing but bailing completely, this nullifies my respect for the pope and I was just learning about him dunking on JD Vance.
hey, I think that's a reasonable thought - our boy Vic would take care of him, right? But if you send him home and Mama Welles invites you to his ofrenda - you best show up. That woman's been through too much for V to be ghosting her...
It gets worse, Arasaka goons take his body from Vik and if you do the Devil (Hanako) ending after doing this Hanako shows you Jackie's engram and you can kind of talk to it but it only says few lines over and over.
Exactly! I only did it my first playthrough because I didn't know better, and my first thought was, "Man, I'd rather tell Mama Welles about Jackie than just deliver his body to her front door with no explanation!"
I couldn't stomach siding with Reed, but I wasn't prepared for how many innocent bystanders would get caught in the ensuring bloodbath. In retrospect I don't think Songbird's freedom justifies the price, esp. when many of the dead are by her own hand, but the long-term damage to Militech *may?*
Idk I don’t think it’s worth it. Also when you side with reed you get to explore this place that militech used to interact with rogue AIs & has some of the absolute scariest gameplay
I mean if you hand her over to Myers you're giving her something worse than a nuclear bomb. You could kill So Mi and leave her all alone in a cold, dark hole forever but what's even the difference at that point?
Well the difference is that she asks you to unplug her so you don’t have to give her to meyers & there’s no indication that she will be left in a cold dark hole forever unless you believe the game is saying there’s no afterlife
This is kinda my feeling. So Mi cut a bloody path to freedom for herself and screwed everybody around her in the process. The game frames letting her go as acceptance/forgiveness, but I felt it played better as denying Meyer’s a tool she couldn’t be trusted to wield.
My first time playing my street kid v just fell head over heels for her so she did anything so mi wanted but it rly does just keep getting worse and your reward kinda sucks too!
I mean I felt like unplugging her in the end was def partially supposed to be FOR so mi but it’s also for the rest of the world & I do think the game recognizes that.

If they had they'd've held out for Shadowrun
Which is why I know better than to suggest a Palladium product for actual gameplay, lmao
i’m a gurps fan and shadowrun is a complicated mess on a system
(roleplayers more pedantic on doctrinal differences than leftists)
If complicated rules concern you, may I introduce you to the word of Amber Diceless Roleplaying
I didn't realize that skipped the fucking funeral
Somehow our future will be as evil but way dumber
I've never finished a game like this, then started over and actually finished it again and now I'm on my fifth playthrough.
if he played Hades without getting this achievement, he's no good
