14 size stem wind/stem set movement that PROBABLY was originally in a Hunter (lidded) case but is in an open face case. I have been dinking with mechanical watches since the 80s. Probably only a watchmaker can fix it. Unfortunately you’re looking at a return ☹️

So it’s not a mainspring or a crystal problem, though, because it ran perfectly all night. It’s that when it gets cold or jostled it doesn’t keep going, so I’m willing to bet that it’s just dirty and needs fresh oil, and I did some research and I’m gonna take a stab at it lol

Good luck! You’re brave. Rather than friction it could be lack of power due to loss of mainspring tension. That means new mainspring. You can look at the arc angle of the balance when it’s running to see if the balance is getting enough power.

Mechanical watches require periodic maintenance (just like a car!) . Like most mechanical things they also don't like sitting idle for long periods of time. Do you know if the previous owner used it regularly? This one might be old and big enough that going the DYI route might worth it.

The urushi case ones with the less intricate dials I can get easily. Not quite as intricately detailed as the other one but pretty damn cool. Designed to tuck into an obi (kimono sash) with a decorated cord/fob hanging out.

I had a King Seiko kimono watch with a sterling silver case at one point.

It's entirely possible that servicing will be more than the cost of the watch. You'll have to weigh whether it's worth it. Doing it yourself is probably a last resort because small shit is small and complicated.
