Yes, they will have to have been added to a public block list. A idea I’ve had is to offer a link to a users block list online. Someone probably could come up with a tool, and then user could add a link in their profile.
I realized how cool this site was when someone said, "at least I get to block Brianna Wu again," and then I realized she was on one of the lists I sub to already and I didn't have to do anything.
Maybe that could even be a feature - like a 6hr or 24hr “unblock purge” so you can briefly experience the full rage of the internet while knowing it’s very easy to mute it all again
