I am sure some crypto bro found a way to say that he can have the TV automatically change to your wishes based off of AI they trained. They are seeking investments now! Of course it only shows Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson clips. But that's because they trained it. It will get better! Promise!
Q: What do you call the thing you use to control your TV set remotely?
My A: As a child in the 70s it was called Susan, as in “Susan, get up & change the channel”…so Susan would lay on the floor in front of the tv & watch.
In the 80s, it was The Clicker according to my father.
Now it’s a Remote.
Back in the 80's my parents called that thing "Shayla".
However.. the TV was so small my ass was parked like 5 inches from it anyways, so.. they're forgiven for turning me into a tool at the ripe ol' age of 4 😆
The clicker, because way, way back in the before times, it was a mechanical device that ‘clicked’ while creating inaudible tones that was picked up by the tv.
I worked on a construction crew with 12 other guys, we all went by the name 'Sparky'. The homeowners would look so confused. Until they watched us work - they couldn't figure it out, and we had our fun.

It is called a remote.
It's because one of the original remote controls had tuned rods in it, with spring-loaded hammers to hit them and make them sound off.
You clicked the button, and the remote went "PONG!" and the TV "heard" that tone and did its thing.

Hey, I'm just proud I stopped saying "I'm gonna tape a show" & now say "record" 😂
you can never find, cause it’s always hiding, disappeared or buried in the sofa cushions. Mainly when you need it.
Remote
Controller
Can you get me the thingy?
Where is it?
On the thingy next to the thingy!
OK. Thanks for clearing that up.
