I also publish my fics on Ao3 and have got into a routine. I made a decision to publish and spend three days before doing edits, reading it once a day so as not to force myself, the final edit is in Ao3's editor itself.
I can't draw to save my life, but can write, and I allow my readers to make their own images in their minds.
I did think like you at first, wondering if you are good enough, but I can assure you, you are. If I can do it, anyone can!
