It is a fun demonstration (backwards numbers took me a while! LoL). What is that place? Is it full of cool demos like that?

I would still pick rock wool as part of full system. Recycled slag. Critter resistant. Sound dampening. Water resistent. Local (for me). Itchy like a hair shirt. ;)

Doesn't address question of whether your insulation is where you want thermal mass - or is it just as good as a separate layer?

(Also don't use selfie camera for digital readouts unless you know how to mirror the video!)

Thx for the feedback, are these questions?
Insulation is more effective on the outside as you know but the effect is noticeable in different applications. That mineral wool is partially transparent to infrared especially.
To combat this you will introduce mass which means embodied carbon emissions.

Interesting that mineral wool is partly transparent - but of course it is also not airtight or watertight.
Realistic context would be a roof with a tile outside and plaster ceiling inside - how much difference does this make?

It would delay things a little (radiation will still happen) and give a boring experience in a learning context.
People have a short attention span these days and the 3 minutes are already long.
