I read through a few articles , this isn’t what he’s doing. He’s pausing certain federal spending programs ex. Dei , green new deal , foreign aid programs and also federal loans and grants ect but it specifically said Medicaid and benefits granted directed to individuals aren’t going to be affected

Them and McDonald's too. They still don't want to pay people. And I'm not holding my breath that they'll be doing anything meaningful to help communities impacted by this or even use their corporate leverage to put pressure on the administration to stop it.

Federal assistance is being paused. Not peoples food stamps. Nothing that has money going directly to the american taxpayer will be stopped. Just federal program spending. I hate it too but at least read the article and not just a headline.

I did. But these programs are in fact administered by the states- The disbursements to individuals are done by the states. Also there are other programs low income folks- even ones whose eligibility for snap is negligible- rely on in order to work like headstart that fall under this. Medicaid too.

When my husband was active duty I'd go with my friends down to the commissary so they could cash in their benefits on the 1st & 15th. They didn't get a ton but enough to help out.

I was diagnosed last year with psoriatic arthritis and rely on SNAP for food it's very difficult for me to work. I didn't work for over 6 months & just went back to work last month but only work a few hours a week because i physically can't tolerate more.
