This ended up being one of my favourite indie games last year, an extremely fun turn-based RPG about a tiny mouse who sets out to kill a god, it's very well written, filled with great characters and clever story beats, and GAY RATS!

(Also has one of my favourite bits of mythology in a game)
nice to see people think alike
mine is an Earthbound homage though
Speaking of my favourite games from last year, I still can't recommend Shadow Gambit highly enough and deserved so much better, a stealthy strategy murder-puzzle in the vein of the old Commandos/Desperados games with an undead pirate crew.

You've probably heard people singing this game's praises before, and you can add my voice to the chorus as well, because Obra Dinn is so good, when you finish you're gonna feel sad you can't play it for the first time again.

I do love a lot of Retro FPS games, it's a genre that has a huge number of bangers, and Cultic is another delight. Leans heavily towards the horror side of the genre, a real satisfying splatterhouse with a phenomenal soundtrack. Highly recommended!

Count this as a recommendation for all 3 games, but my god what a marvelous series. Short, cleverly written little adventures, the characters are just adorable as hell, just a good time all round.

I think you'll either love me or hate me for introducing you to this game, it's been compared to Rimworld with a Chinese Mythology spin, it's a real neat game that you can sink a lot of time into if you're not careful.
