PCG is one of my favorite things of #UnrealEngine.
It offers numerous benefits and elevates games to a completely new level.
In my opinion, this represents the next gen of tool development.

You can get a lot more easy detail by scattering level instances instead of meshes and then leverage internal tag data for variation. It's how we have been approaching it at Epic! youtu.be/ncokCVoN-oU?...
