For the first time ever, wind and solar energy are covering more than 100% of demand in mainland Spain. The excess is being stored and exported. The Spanish are achieving these numbers and there is still so much more potential to tap. What incredibly exciting opportunities there are for Spain here.

So I think we are going to be fine without nuclear energy by 2035.
It happens quite often that there's no wind at night for most of Europe.
What's Spain's plan for storage ?
Also, we can expect the need for electricity to increase a lot by 2035.
The nuclear shutdown in Spain is schedule between 2027 and 2035.
So if now, with much less renewable power and storage installed, can manage a 2030ish nuclear shutdown scenario, I’ll say we don’t have any problems by then.
