One of the funnier bits of Rufo's tenure at New College is them juicing the student body numbers by accepting literally any athlete despite not having any of those athletic teams
I’m still convinced this war on the New School is all because Derek Black, son of KKK pooh-bah Don Black and Godson of KKK big poo-bah David Duke, went there and realized White Nationalism is a crock of shit.
I talk about this every now and then these days. I find it quite scary that people forget valuable lessons about History. This story in particular is pretty much unknown. I found it while investigating this new "anti-woke" movement that sounds like a re-branding of the Nazi propaganda nowadays.
Thinking about the amount of people who have to approve this stuff and then carry out the physical actions of it. Truly despicable human beings. From the bottom of the chain to the top.
Unlike with elementary schools, there’s not even a pretext of “protecting the children.” This is the suppression of speech and ideas they don’t agree with, pure and simple.
Throwing out “Backlash” is painfully on the nose, as is Isak Dinesen (aka Karen Blixen). I guess it’s verboten to use a male pseudonym to be taken seriously (even though Rowling did.) Or is it because Meryl Streep played her?
PS: I went and looked up Northrup because I honestly hadn't thought about that book or her since about 2004. She's apparently got a whole the-gov-made-COVID-to-kill-us theory and has been complementary to DeSantis.

Aren’t ALL these books available legally and easily in just a few clicks online?

Losing the prodigal son hurts.
He’s featured in a book called Rising out of Hatred. I read it a few years ago and a lot of it is centered on his time in college. Interesting read.
My bad, early 30s
I like how easily you can spot the engineering and science buildings on a campus: glass, bigger than the rest, and clearly had a better budget.
Meanwhile, taking the elevator to a class on anthropology feels like tunneling through time to the 1980s.
Oops.
Why should they, when the alternatives are immediately gratifying and lucrative?
Yet, her book's being tossed.
