I know it’s banging my head against a wall at this point but the reason your ancestors came over legally through Ellis Island is because back then all you had to do to come legally was not die on the boat

The differences are staggering and the lack of something called free will, is conveniently ignored. The community didn’t just travel here seeking a better life, it’s so obtuse.
