I'm going to be joining in the #EconomicBlackout. Not really convinced of the effectiveness of this particular effort, but it's a low commitment ask and I'm interested is seeing how far we've spread it with this sort of pure word of mouth, decentralized approach

Inspired me to cancel subscriptions, move from Google browser and search, not consume biased news sources, avoid non-essential internet use, no radio even. Mindful of their advertising streams.
Buy local in cash, support them.
If it helps remind the corporations currently debating how much to roll over for Trump that people are pissed, ok.

Even my friend who is doing all she can to avoid political news has heard about it and texted the group chat about participating in it.
I hope that it will get people used to working together toward a goal.
But do y’all really buy something everyday? I haven’t made a purchase this week.
