He said this was what he was going to do. Farmers still overwhelmingly voted for him. I’m sorry but looking at the Hell this country is today….I’m having a hard time finding sympathy for farmers.

Tax breaks and tariffs they want to bankrupt the working and middle class the extort our work and assets. Economic terrorism. Their greed will not end. Hands off protest April 5th.
My husband farms and we have NEVER supported King Tangerine !
Whenever my husband has gone to sponsored farm events, the keynote speakers have had to bite their tongues when attendees start saying how great Trump is because they know how badly this is going to hurt the farming industry.
Also a lot of grain and soybeans grown here are sold overseas. Those markets are going to be buying grain from Saskatchewan and not Nebraska quite soon.
Why do we keep having to rewrite your headlines?
DJT claims he is standing up for skilled workers and farmers, but his tariffs will hurt more than help.
US farmers are toast. Farm products, by definition, are commodities that are readily replaced from other countries. And once the buyers are gone, especially over this BS, they're gone forever.
I guess the good news is that now there will be less need for the Latino farmworkers #KingTrump deported.
Can you say, "STUPID!"? He cancelled USAID where food was supplied by US Farmers. Now tariffs will make Farmers prices soar in the Countries they export to, meaning less sold to them.
Every time I say it can't get worse, it does.
None of this is helping farmers at all, but how would the guy who thinks 'groceries' is a 'quaint old fashioned term for a bunch of different things in a sac' know anything at all about the farming industry?
He gave us the seeds of the Great Depression. He planted it deeply into the financial sector. Fertilized to perfection! Make women hate you and nothing else matters.👨🍳
Cancel cancel culture! Does he know how to multiply? Yes, yes he does. He made made sure that third term won’t happen. 👨🌾
The irony hangs heavier than rain clouds over cornfields Trump flags flying upside down like distress signals from a drowning heartland These farmers voted for the very hand that now chokes them Truth arrives late to the American countryside but when it comes, even loyalty cannot survive the harvest
We work for a living. How often do you work 12+ hour day feeding and caring for livestock, planting, harvesting, repairing and maintaining equipment?
Yeah that's what I thought. Fuck you.
I mean this with the utmost respect as someone who grew up rural. Farmers/ranchers do an incredible amount of work and must have a broad set of skills too make it all work out and i respect it. However in my experience folks in those communities have a weird belief they are the "normal" or should be
And they 'can' be incredibly good at building these smaller communities, and that seems too reinforce that belief. But that kinda process just doesnt scale. I dont know you, and its easy too get nasty online, and maybe irl your lovely. but try and understand how its easy too be angry at that divide.
Take this from someone who didnt know calluses were earned till they moved too a city and wondered where they went. These folks work too. They work for not enough money, unappreciated and treated as disposable. But the cities bring a different community, a vibrancy, and so much art.
I've worked long days my whole life. Never asked anyone to adjust their schedule because of my job Never asked for a subsidy. They don't work any harder, just different. Plus most inherited their land and farms. Rarely are they first Gen. They got a hand up but don't want others to.
Lived on a farm growing up - with the exception of a couple of times a year, if there is no livestock, most had hobbies or second jobs to fill the time.
And yes, worked 12 hour shifts most of my career without the government giving me a handout (subsidy).
My experience is with large dry land farms in the Northwest. Wheat, garbs, etc. Not saying farmers don't work hard I just learned they really weren't working any harder than anyone else while getting lots of subsidies and price protections. They absolutely hate to discuss it but they'll take it.
And of course, there are always exceptions. I worked 12 hour days- raised kids, volunteered for every board-school and church, took care of elderly neighbor, our own farm animals, garden, etc. so I'm not afraid of hard work and respect it.
Farmers get subsidies, hundreds of thousands on the dry land farms. You can look it up online. Plus crop insurance that guarantees price. I didn't get a guaranteed prices from the guvment on things that i make. Plus incentives not to farm. Farmers get plenty of welfare.
And they all inherited their land, rarely is there a first Gen farmer. Lived with farmers for 30 years. They never were happy, always complained and always took the welfare that came their way. And their kids always had the newest pickups on the school lot.
I think this is all the plan. Control everything so we have to beg our magnanimous dear leader for a morsel of food, a glass of water, heat for our homes, in return for our worship amd service. Surfdom returns. And he still won't be happy.
I think he knows. He hates America and Americans. He seems more than willing to destroy the American economy and drive the country into the ground. Putin is enjoying this.
This framing of “Trump says X but some people disagree” is FUCKING PATHETIC. You have actual journalists and experts available with working brains, make an assessment of truth. If I want PR, I’ll listen to the press secretary.

Farmers are never happy. They overwhelmingly voted for Trump and now are complaining about their own bad decisions.

Back at you.
