It’s a 12 page paper outlining the core targets, still referring to the mission letters content as a framework. Would you expect ticketing to be a core target on one level with digitisation and competitiveness?

Do you know what the Work Plan is? Because from this post it doesn’t look like you really do. It’s the list of what the Commission will do (and by exclusion what it won’t do) this year. That it’s not included means it’s very unlikely to be proposed in 2025.

It's often cheaper to travel by plane than by train within Europe. As long as this situation remains not many people gets inspired to switch to trains.
I'd be happy to take a train to visit my mother in Hungary but the ride is minimum 100 euros more than flying KLM and takes 17 hours.

Yes, but this is a different problem.

You could get more people onto trains *right now at the current price level* if people could actually know what runs, when, and book those trains easily.

And yes, addressing price is important *too*.

Hi Jon, in our PR we referred to rail passenger rights, in which we include the ticketing initiative. We continue working with the Commission services who have still announced 2025 for the ticketing (impact assessment study by July and proposal after summer break).

Sort of. The rights issue - you could conclude from points 14 and 15 of the Annex isn’t shelved. But the Regulation on data sharing for ticketing likely won’t happen. So yes, you did a little more than anyone else but it’s still quite weak.

To be clear, we were criticising the abandonment of passenger rights legislation but we hear from the Commission services that the ticketing regulation will still happen.
