Normalize not giving a fuck about graphics
They’re nice to have, certainly, but they’re by no means a make or break on whether a game is good or not

I find it more productive to denounce the plague of making games look like real life, or realistic in general. It's always bland as shit and boring to look at
This is actually a shame, because I know for sure I was nether need no how twilight struggle looked and then when I came to play it, I loved it!
However, graphics should come after gameplay ALWAYS.
WIRED : artistic direction
I don't wanna upgrade my machine every time a new gen game comes out.
I've played a lot of game since, and rock solid game play will always beat graphics. ALWAYS!
I feel like games with a smaller budget for graphics create a more unique style as they have to be more creative on how it's used.
But that's just my take.
Obviously you can still archieve that with a strong art direction in all levels.
But I've tried out old looking games and some of them are definetely fun to play.
Also: Elden Ring and Dragon's Dogma. "Shit" graphics, great games.
