I mean...yes. But also unclear what escalation means at this point. The Israeli opening was a coordinated decapitation attack against Iran's entire military leadership.
That's just being at war. The only other meaningful escalatory step is if Israel decides to nuke Tehran, which seems unlikely.

The Iranians just handed the excuse the Israelis were looking for to escalate further.
Any speculation about de-escalation is downright delusional

This is a war unless Iran backs down, and if someone supports it they should argue honestly.
(this is a trick question)
I don't have a clear sense of if they will begin doing that now on the basis of the missile(s) that just hit Tel Aviv.
I suppose we'll all find out soon.
Obviously more than fair to call this "a war".
Not sure that Israel is the one who should be offering that though.
The only remaining question is "should the USA walk into this knife-fight?" to which my answer is, "No, I don't think so."
A Trump tower in Teheran and Trump steaks in Tel Aviv!
That’s what week long strike campaigns are, escalation wasn’t really something that matters at this point
I'm agreeing with you, to be clear, I just want to cut through the GWOT-small-conflict bullshit here. These are just two countries that are now at war.
Makes me wonder whether they could have done a better job of hiding their generals in bunkers or something. Unless Israel can read all their comms, which I think is likely.
