I see posts like, "Life's too short to finish a book you don't like" but I'm all, THIS BOOK IS TERRIBLE BUT I'M 10 PAGES IN AND I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO MITTENS.

YES. I recently visited Cooperstown NY and decided that I needed to read the complete Leatherstocking Tales. And despite the fact that James Fenimore Cooper was a racist SOB, I feel the need to find out what happens to the Deerslayer/ Hawkeye/Pathfinder/ whatever the fuck comes next.
I finish it so that when I say I hate it, no one can question why I hate it. But every once in a while, there are exceptions (After - I read chapter 1 of the first book when it started out on wattpad and immediately decided I hated it. I still hate that series)
Same with movies, I give them 10 minutes to impress me lmao
My approach is if I don't like it already, why should I wait for it to get better? It probably won't, and I don't like suffering 💀
