I was using a great little tool to fix all the Windows11 "knows UI best" nonsense. All was great until Windows Defender started insisting it was a virus (amusingly, Windows update wouldn't go off with it installed, so, every cloud...). Every new version a step backwards for UX.

It's like they want to add extra steps to every fucking little thing you do! Also they got rid of the option to show ALL system tray icons so every time you install a new program that has one you have to to into the settings again if you want to see it.

I think I saw a post last week saying the taskbar icon resizing is possible in the latest 'insider' release, so might appear for the rest of the world soon. You can enable the 'classic' right click menu with a reg tweak too. User friendly, it ain't.

Still on Win 10,dreading updating it to 11 even though its inevitable....tolerated Win 10... but what I really miss is Windows 7!!

There will probably be "paid for" updates.... so that might keep you on win10 for a while longer.

Win7 was lovely... Though I do like win10 as well.
