But then I found out it's called Faxanadu because it was the FAmicom port of the game Xanadu. So now, now, I don't know HOW it's meant to be pronounced. I just know the last part is "zann-ah-doo".
Also, it's not one I myself would pronounce wrongly, but nothing would boil my piss more than people who would call Alex Kidd "Alex THE Kid"

Cut to early 1999 with all of my friends laughing at me for continuously referring to the “Deku Nuts” from Ocarina of Time as “Dukie Nugs”
To be fair, being kids at the time, we didn't know what a rune was. Sometimes you had to Run and Escape from monsters in the game, so Run-Escape made more sense.
