I been to Victoria and Juno. Great food and the most beautiful ladies too. If you need suggestions let me know. 1).Lou Malnati's deep dish Pizza, 2).Portillo's Chicago Dog & Itilian Beef sandwich, 3).Carson's BBQ Ribs, Pork Chop & Chicken.
We welcome to return!
Come during the Summer - with all the music fests, neighborhood fests, etc.
Take the Architecture Boat Cruise on the River.
Get some "Tavern" style pizza (not the lasagna on toast stuff).
Hit Wrigley. Navy Pier. Oak Street and North Ave Beaches.
Yep.
Chicago has a lot of challenges....like most big cities.
But, 2-3M live in the city. 9M in the area.
We are not that dumb.
Jobs. Schools. Culture. Attractions. Music. Architecture. Food. Sports. Festivals. Beaches (yes, real beaches). Neighborhoods. Not as crazy as NY or LA.
Yes...but maybe no more than 2 shots.
You don't want to fall in.
The River is a LOT cleaner than it was just a few years ago.
But still...that water can be cold and there are not too many places to climb out. 😀
I should have paid more attention to my wording. Didn't mean to do those in succession! (p.s. I tell people to do a shot at Rossi's on State Street. It's the quintessential dive bar, right in River North. Opens at 7 am!)
Wow. Thanks for the info on Rossi's. I never knew that. Gotta add "be at a Chicago dive bar at 7am on a Tuesday" to my bucket list. See who is there. It could be the same crowd who goes to South Suburban strip clubs at 3AM.
Born and raised but haven't been back in a while. My the skyline has changed! Thanks for keeping Trump Tower out of the picture. Hope he will be out of the picture sooner than later as well:)

For the kindness that they show us
For the freedom they allow us"

Funny you should mention those places. That hits a good portion of what I want see. There's also an eco park of grassland and wildflowers over parking garages along the river I want to see.
Yes. Millennium Park.
Pritzker Pavilion for concerts
The Bean.
All near the lake...North of Grant Park...near one of the best art museums in the world.
I am glad you can get back to traveling.
What other cities/areas are you thinking of getting to soon?
What's on your travel bucket list for a 2-3 day getaway?
He’s a criminal. I don’t see how he could be allowed entry into many states worldwide with a criminal record like his. Anyone else with his record would not be allowed to enter the U.K. Would his majesty’s government show some balls? Or is this covered by diplomatic immunity? What about golf?
Nice well-wishing, Brian. However, I want to point out the horrible use of the imperative form of phrasing on that building. What’s their deal? They're basically commanding the masses to give thanks. Why don't they give thanks or well-wishing themselves? 😆
Condolences before the fact for what the Lions are about to do to the Bears(I can’t believe this is going to be a thanksgiving without Detroit turkeys).

The side tossed salad in the chilled metal bowl… heavenly. Today I will remember to give thanks for that!
