The bloggers live there and some do good work but mainstream media not only failed democracy but it’s playing an active roll in destroying it.
I was a long time reader of Rolling Stone up until 15 years ago, but I'm impressed with the stories they cover. Time to give them another shot.

I subscribe to the mail-to-the-house-like-its-the-1900s edition, but it's hit or miss. Depending on the writer, really.

If someone has a bang-for-the-buck rating of all these, it could be helpful to a lot of people who may be in the same boat.
Still remember a @stephenking.bsky.social book from the early 80s where RS is the magazine the character specifically talks to for objectivity and no ties to the government.
