Come with me to a museum, a NAMCO Museum, and walk me through virtual spaces of polygonal wonder and chill.
Wondering these halls in late '96 and peering at the scanned-in paraphernalia sparked my first interest in video game history.

The last Namco collection I bought didn't even bother using the Arcade originals, they were all just Famicom ports. ;-;
Namco has such a rich history worthy of at least an Atari 50 style showcase.
what I wouldn't give for another game to do it like this!
There was other full games as hidden content but these are the only original new games that were made for the Museums
Ngl I think I spent more time browsing the museum than actually playing the arcade games XD
Namco delisted them in the US a few years ago? I only was able to grab vol. 3 (cause mappy lol)
But God I wish they kept the museum part of the newer games (pacman museum plus barely scratches that itch lol)
Havenβt been this excited since the reference to it in one of the Haunted PS1 demo discs!!!
I dearly wish Namco had kept up the museum aspects in the subsequent ones.
Hey everyone please reply to this if there's a similar game or Easter Egg or level like this you can think of
The closest any game has come to emulating that feeling for me is the now-delisted Sega Genesis Classics. I just wish it would let me walk around the room/house. π₯Ί
Not sure if there are issues with BlueSky vids right now.
But yes, hope you enjoy this little snippet of my favourite retro-retro compilation series' lovely virtual museums. That I've recently found out have been recreated in VRChat!
Of course this collection is now considerably older than its contents were on launch.
And yeah, in every subsequent Museum release, I've hoped they'd include something like this again.
What am I saying the retro market is so bad the VR headset is probably cheaper XP
It's a bit sad overall how often the retro compilations from storied Japanese companies skimp on the actual history parts.
