I think, most white people protest peacefully because it makes them feel good about "doing something" as if it's really going to make much change, but it barely made the newscasts. If you really want change, you have to make a lot of noise and basically be l really obnoxious but not violent.

Let's be clear that these protests are mostly not about changing things. They are, in fact, about keeping the status quo unchanged from where it was on November 4 or even January 19. That doesn't mean they can't be leveraged for change as well. But that's not the goal of most of the protestors.

There were full police forces at the "white" protests in very red Arizona, Texas, and Virginia and elsewhere. There were also "volunteer riot patrols" (MAGAs) harassing white protestors and the police did nothing to stop the MAGAs. Division is not helpful. Why choose this tact?

I'm glad y'all got out and stood up for yourselves and others. But you were out there in a privilege bubble. So the media or other white people praise you for being "peaceful" recognize what that's code for. Tell them how there weren't any cops kettling, pepper spraying and hitting you.

Fuck peaceful protests in general. Went from pulling the elite from their homes and killing them in the streets. To miners shooting at the owners in for better working conditions. To walking down pre determined routes escorted by police. You sure showed them. with media losing it if a window breaks.
