Years ago I was landscaping an amazing home in Florida and my clients purchased a spider couple by Bourgeois. I had moved other high value pieces for them, and was honored to be asked to install this fantastic sculpture. She was still alive at that time (93), I wished I could have met her!
This similar one is about 8’ tall, the single spider in DC is more than twice that height. Those are the only two pieces I’ve seen in person. From what I read she was way ahead of her time.
Would the opposite job also be weird? Most corporate environments in the US are trying to make things just.. boring. Like concentric circles, blocks, etc. Saying the US is prude after watching TV here is not quite right. But at a business, 10% of your customers don't like.. so we skip.

France also has more population than any US state, a continuous history of over 1200 years, the same power in the security council as the entire US and is, itself made of very culturally distinct regions, it very much IS fair to compare the US and France directly

I can't help that you don't understand that making broad sweeping generalizations about 400,000,000 people over 50 states, 5 territories, and many island nations around the world is going to be incorrect. Especially when you couldn't even be honest about France to start.
