This sounds great, but I think I'm going to stick with Sidebery for now.

It just has too many features I'm not willing to miss out on (nested tab grouping, editing tab titles, etc)

This is quite a narrow minded way to look at it. It's all optional for people that want to use it. I prefer vertical tabs, so I am having a blast. If you don't like vertical tabs, then you can keep them as they were.

Love the effort, just getting annoyed with how the tabs move when you open a new tab because of bookmarks. I hope this is something you will address in the future. Also really looking forward to the "expand on hover" feature, I hope it will be smooth and responsive.

Filling up the browser with junk nobody asked for is a great path forward, but we can use the best of the best if such junk is a priority, like Chrome and Edge. By aiming to become Chrome/Edge copycats you’re giving your users less and less incentives to keep using Firefox

if i disable the sidebar thing with the AI chatbot, it automatically switches back to horizontal tabs. just remove the AI bullshit entirely. thanks!

I installed an extension for exactly this called tree style tabs ! I use it when researching and I find it helpful then :) I'll try the sidebar
