A four-year-old boy named "Dominic" surprised his mother by bringing a baby deer home after returning from the woods in the backyard because he considered the deer his friend, and the mother took a picture of them.

Yeah, I'd like make a welfare report please......
A four, yes FOUR year old allowed into the woods, alone......
Nah.
The bigger issue here is that it's not common sense to leave wildlife alone.
If your child was attacked by a mama deer, you would have feelings about it & not be all "well at least it wasn't a school shooting"
And stand right in the middle of the street, and just look at you when you honk.

I was a city kid at age 4 & we did wander the neighborhood freely.
When I was 9 we moved to a rural area where we played in the woods & in other peoples barns (yikes!).
But this GenXer did not let my kid do the same.

And yes, agreed π― that it's the Gulf of MΓ©xico!
Ugh, too late
If itβs fake who cares. The sentiment is beautiful.
If itβs real we can tell by the lack of blood spilling from the boys body that it ended just fine.
JFC people calm down
I know who you really are, "Dominic"
And it looks cold out. Iβm not sure if ticks are active in the winter months.
Ticks definitely.

Thanks, I needed this.
BTW, does anyone know the answer to this question.
Why is it, when I press repost, the word repost, jumps up then down,
as if to say, are you sure you want to do this? Just happened again with this post.
Is the kid mature for their age?
I seriously I know parents who taught their 7 month old how to sign "food" for when they're hungry.
Also it boils down to how the child is raised, how much self reliance they teach, even his diet.
I once lived in a town where a few of the houses backed up to a shared small woodsy are. We had a small herd of deer, fox and groundhogs who made it their home.
Nothing is black & white lady. Times change & I'm gen x.
We created this mess so stop bitching. You know damn well we were NOT THAT conservative back then! It's trump!!!!
Are smaller deer species like this?
Where was the baby deerβs mom?
Some wildlife parents will abandon their offspring if it smells like humans, leaving the offspring to die.
Why is a four-year-old taking a stroll alone in the woods?
When was this pix taken? It's 25 degrees here in Maryland--minutes north of VA. It has been Super Cold during the past few weeks, in between the snow storms.
Something not quite right here.
You seem well-quaified to critique comedy.
