Beyond the Door 3, which is largely set on a train in Serbia (and has nothing to do with the first two). In fact not being able to think is probably a plus. It’s on Tubi.
that movie's already a fever dream so it's gonna be just what the doctor ordered (aside from, y'know, fluids and rest). hope you get well soon and don't have it too rough!
after Encounters of the Spooky Kind, my ~ cool fun creepy vibes over plot ~ journey of watching things while delirious with covid has taken a different turn and now i'm watching a bunch of Suzan Pitt animations
perhaps unsurprisingly i *love* Begotten!!! that's one i really fucking wish i could watch on celluloid instead of in horrible dvd quality, my guy built his own optical printer to make it look that fucked up, king shit
Shadow of the Vampire is also amazing, a very different and more normal movie but also a favorite of mine. i haven’t seen any of Merhige’s other stuff though, i should try and dig that up
I’ve seen Din of Celestial Birds projected intercut with scenes from The Color of Pomegranates at a metal concert, which was maybe the perfect way to see it.
I remain weirdly excited to see his collaboration on the radical re-edit of Caligula.
i hilariously need to *take notes* the next time I watch Killer Clowns from Outer Space because i'm writing an essay on clowns in film 1970 to... 1997? maybe? i haven't decided yet? but i'll definitely be doing a rewatch once i'm not delirious
i watched Inferno during strange isolation times in 2020 when i was also delirious but for different reasons. i should revisit it, Daria Nicolodi is great

Are you familiar with Singapore Sling? (On the topic of strange Greeks making gnomic black and white films full of extreme stuff).
Honorable mention is Dog Soldiers, but I have a thing for werewolf movies.
Cannibalistic Human Underground Dwellers.
