This is my favorite picture of Stonewall.
They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+.
Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them.
I think about it a lot in moments like this.

Next, stay fabulous.
This time even nastier.
Be safe friends, be careful.
Just know this time you have allies and we stand together.
I'm not saying that rainbows emerged everywhere after the Stonewall riots, just that people began to wake up to the persecution of the community🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️❤️
CIA agent provocateurs have been for a long time infiltrating and obstructing liberation movements, through propaganda, and outright sabotage.
Like NAMBLA, at this rally.

1985-1995 IS RECENT HISTORY. these are all originally color photos (much like the civil rights movement, it's made monochrome to make it look "old")
it was taken in full color.
a series of gay rights and anti apartheid protests, 1977-1987, taken in color:
they weren't covering a lot of this stuff; at the time, a photo in Life magazine (?) of someone with AIDS was A HUGE DEAL.
most images of LGBT movement in the 80s, orig. in color, taken by us. not the news

Bad guys doing the jobs government was SUPPOSED to be doing.
And advocating for gun ownership for self-defense, which then led to the NRA suddenly supporting gun control, which just does to show that these fucks are inherently racist.
Show them that they do not own the future, that their time is done
I'm sick and tired of cringe gay men, erasing them from history.
Help where you can, but it's another generations time at the frontline now. Do the parts gentler to your soul, mind, body. Encourage others to stand up where you cannot.
But most of all, thank you.

But we will, for humanity's sake.
It's been...years.
I know that things are about to get extremely ugly, but for some reason, my instincts tell me that it won't be forever.
They are not as feeble and incompetent as many seem to think and have massive backing from like minded powerful groups.
I hope I’m wrong.
There, I said it.
for the record I do welcome the optimistic voices
I believe the film is rated R.

Fighting for Freedom, yet so young. Thank you to the ppl that came before us and fought for our Freedoms.
"the guys there were so beautiful—they've lost that wounded look that fags all had 10 years ago"
I hope there wont be a need for their strength, but may we find it if we do.
