That’s unconstitutional and can be fought in the appellate courts. No state has the authority to force its citizens to refrain from travel to neighboring states unless they are under house arrest.

So far that how we have been fighting, but based on what has been seen the Supreme Court most likely will decide that it isn't discrimination. Less then 100 trans young have has surgeries most states that have banned it have had 0. The average yearly cis female minor for boob jobs is around 4k.

The issue, as I see it, is there is very clearly a pattern to these things, these feeler bills that are more and more extreme get put out in one district, then get introduced in a ton more districts, before eventually getting introduced on the national level

I think we are more at risk for a national ban this year through executive orders or budget resolutions that lead to effective bans, than a single cosponsor bill from Texas.

Definitely worth watching, but this issue has moved national now.

It's been longer than that. I remember them using this tactic with the heartbeat bills. Every week it was a new anti abortion bill until they wormed their way up to SCOTUS and undid decades of precedent for privacy and bodily autonomy. They found a winning system and noone is stopping them.

It’s Texas. I’m stuck with my AGAB on documentation, even prior to EO 14168. My current state permitted it in 2024, but I was born in Texas. Texas began denying the changes wholesale *and* tracking the information of those requesting them in August of last year.

I was eligible to file in my current state Sept. 1, thanks to a move. I’m probably stuck with my AGAB even if the EO is struck down because I don’t want to be in their database.
