Nah, Sega's been in a pretty good spot in recent years, especially 2024. Besides, even with Recompiled, people would still pay for an official re-release of Unleashed on all systems. It happened with Colors Ultimate, Origins and SXSG, which I'm sure all sold best on consoles, given past history.

I've beaten Sonic Unleashed, and I can say with confidence that the whole "it runs like ass" part probably isn't the fault of the Xbox. That's just how they made Sonic games at the time.

I don't envy any fan who spent time trying to polish that mountain of turds.

By my understanding the PS2/Wii version is designed differently and depending who you ask, has an edge over the higher gen version. I had the PS2 version and I enjoyed it well enough.

The github instructions only specify directly dumping game files from an xbox for legal reasons. If you have an iso/rom backup (legally obtained of course 🤫) you can eaisly extract the game files from there.

That's one of the files needed yeah. But you'd also need the full iso/rom of the game as well. When you have that you can extract it's files using the same tool in the projects GitHub instructions. Give them and that title update file to the installer and it should work
