Stone and Carson are the two main people who created the “FND” concept and they generally think ME/Long COVID isn’t real and that it’s just FND and can be treated with exercise.
And Sharpe is one of the big psychiatrists who psychologised ME/LC, made PACE etc
Basically a category that they put anyone who had neurological symptoms they can’t explain into, and they claim it’s mental health and exercise/therapy will make it good.
But basically they keep on renaming the concept to remove “the stigma” even though it’s the concept and not the name that causes stigma…
And I know there are situations exercising makes things worse.
It's no wonder Suzanne O'Sullivan is perpetuating this pov - it's embedded in neurology.
