Merz comments last night are by far the most radical we’ve heard from any European (near) leader. They go well beyond French rhetoric of strategic autonomy & a European pillar of NATO. However, there are also those privately contended about disavowing NATO before alternatives are mature.

The question is when they are going to create the coalition. They were talking before Easter (April 20). Are the Greens going to be part of it? Is the Kenya possible.
Also
One doesn't just restart a nuclear reactor not speaking of a nuclear powerplant
Get a grip on reality, you dreamer.
Also: all energy suppliers have repeatedly stated that a retrofit of the old reactors is out of the question. Some have already been demolished by now.
How to restart atomic power plants without (demolished) cooling towers?
Btw.: Germany supplied France with cheap renewable energy in 2024 as their atomic scrap-reactors were of line, either of lacking cooling water the whole (extraordinary dry) summer or by break downs.
Even the owning companies are AGAINST any rebuilding, because it would be an economic disaster.
Congrats, you reached a new level of voodoo-economics
Building European alternative will hasten the dismantling of NATO. That's what Putin wants. One reason why he wanted the UK veto removed from EU and their Army ideas.
There are events in US history which informed Nazi ideology and there are ideals from the US which formed modern Germany.
May humanity and reason prevail.
Trumps kotau in front of Putin and his threads against his NATO partners are showing his agenda.
Even the biggest „atlantics“ in 🇩🇪 like Merz have to -reluctantly- face the bitter truth. King Donnie the greatest ever doesn’t want allies, he wants vasals!
(SINCE they are supported by Russia too, Putin loves both!)
Just mentioning.
And good for German car industry to focus on munitions.
There are 31 countries in NATO including Norway and Canada.
