It’s funny people don’t seem to understand these signs aren’t special in their cost. It’s just like the false-mindset of those “high cost” bike lanes. All street infrastructure is expensive.

Are any of them batting an eye at the cost of that Deerfoot project that's going to virtually nothing for congestion in the long term? Cuz pretty much every other street infrastructure cost that isn't for cars costs substantially less.

I looked it up the other day - almost $600 million. FFS can we get even a fraction of that spent on making modes other than cars APPEALING. It's not enough for them to exist - they need to be great to convert people. We need some fucking money thrown at it like we throw it at car infrastructure.

omg the elevated route. So many cities are scrapping that style of light rail, but here comes Calgary thinking they're being innovative.
