I dumped my old HP AIO ink jet printer for this very reason. I really liked that unit because it could scan and print ledger size. Replaced it with a cheap B/W laser printer for the very few times I need to print something.

I second using work printers if you can. For reasons.

I seldom print, but do use the scan feature periodically. It too seems to have issues frequently, usually losing the wifi connection to the laptop. I brace myself for an adventure each time! 😡🤦‍♂️😡

That’s why I finally got a basic laser printer and extra large toner cartridge. I’ve changed toner once in about 5 years!
I got a basic Brother for about $160.

I did that as well but the toner cartridge tip would dry out, get plugged from non use and need to be replaced each time. 🤯😡🤯🤦‍♂️
