I’ve seen arguments both for, and against presidential pardons.
If I was forced to pick one, however, I’d choose the elimination of presidential pardons, as in no president can pardon anyone…for anything.
We have courts. It should all be decided there.

Unions, wobble.
Share the strike with your local news & national social media platforms, companies and family members.
Support the strikers by working together, introduce a barter system, provide bail, food, sanitation.

One pardon should always remain.
One of the fundamental problems of the US is that far to much of your system is politicised.

It is incumbent on voters to elect Presidents who won’t completely abuse the pardon power.
We still haven’t arrived at the ultimate: a Presidential self-pardon.
Get rid of the pardon power. This country will never again trust a president to wield the pardon pen out of compassion or a commitment to justice.
Allowing criminals, bankrupts and people who have had significant civil cases awarded against them is ludicrous.
congressional approval;
judicial approval;
or some combination of both;
and/or some degree of approval and/or disapproval: 50%, 2/3.
The current paradigm has been misused by THE criminal president!

If you have $$, you avoid shame, but don’t fear courts.
Fascists wear our shaming like a badge of honor.
And to an extent Bidens over use of the pardon power (although forced because of tRump's egregious threats)
probably means that the presidential pardon must become a thing of the past
• No one committing a crime benefiting POTUS may be pardoned
• POTUS shall not pardon anyone after midnight of Election Day
power must truly be contained now.
Fixes are needed to the thing.
It would probably never happen except for maybe the most egregious pardon imaginable.
(I cover politics and social issues, focusing on fighting fascism and raising awareness about key injustices. Please follow me if interested!)
At one time, perhaps, it was a nice thought. Instead, it's a terrible idea.
It's become no different than executive orders - something to be abused.
No POTUS pardons
No SCOTUS immunity for POTUS
No executive orders which influences country, citizens, economy, climate except minor changes.

I propose that for a transitional period the president should be able to pardon people for jaywalking and littering (without malicious intent)
We need enforceable watchdog agencies independent of the three branches of government.
Trump can (and probably HAS) sold pardons. He has used pardons to obstruct justice. He has used pardons for his violent political thugs.
Should have been impeached and removed.
In most other countries, the elected party members choose the party leader.
A president should not be chosen by a popularity contest. He or she should first have to hold local office and prove themselves first.
We would have been forced to find out the truth of Ronald and Iran
1st R president to conspire with a foreign adversary ?

person would agree to this. There are too many other aspects of a tilted justice system to correct before this. I would only buy into that argument if the death penalty were removed first as a punishment. And/or commutation / clemency remain in effect, too.
You can argue that they're intended to right certain wrongs, but my overall impression is that they're a way for rich, well-connected criminals to be washed clean of their sins.
If there really are wrongs, let's right them in a way in which the corruption isn't baked in.
The legislature should be able to override a pardon.
How can a nation claim to have rule of law when one special person gets an arbitrary veto over the judiciary?
(Not that sensible is in favour right now).
And they need to be done on the last day of the presidency, except in cases where there’s a deadline (like someone on death row).
