Yeah I posted The Perfect Circle's song Doomed but that's about as far down as I went in that we're all doomed scenario. I would rather find ways to keep fighting and make things as good as we possibly can for everyone.

I'm in a red state too and I'm just gonna keep working with my church/the local Dem party to make a difference where I can. I can't move - I don't want to be that far from my parents, and I have friends here who need support.

I've had to unfollow a couple of people because miss me w/ that dooming.

Personally, I reached out to a former co-worker who volunteers with Moms Demand and regional representatives. I also found a local Democrat group that meets at the library and am going to try to get involved.

I live in one of the two states that didn’t swing right and I’m still terrified. It’s too expensive for people to move here. We have gay rights and abortion and unions and diversity and prosperity and better social programs. I hope the rest of you can achieve the same.

Look online for the Democratic committee in your county or city. Almost every one should have one, but some are so miniscule they're almost a Mom&pop operation.
They'd love help and input. By the next federal, or state election occurs, you'll be well-versed in their needs.

You asked what kind? As far as I'm concerned my lot doesn't have representation in the governor's office, the Senate, Congress or the current administration. We're on our own. Wish I never left MD. Public transportation and resources for those in need were aplenty.

I feel that we need grass roots movements doing good in communities. There’s a lot of them already scattered, maybe a good way to act is assisting with a platform, so small independent groups can cooperate on larger community actions. Tools of organization and collective bargaining.
