I never said I wanted bad faith opinions. But there are reasonable conservatives just like there are reasonable liberals. We shouldn't want a platform where everyone has the same opinion.

There are reasonable leftists too, and the fact you didn't think to mention them, but mention the conservative movement that has overtaken Twitter, is why leftists moved.
You *highly* overestimate your own importance if you think you're helping right-wing echo chamber Twitter.
You can see in under this post here how many claim to be nice left people and instantly start to insult someone. Is this the nice environment we are supposed to have here? Every topic has plenty of nuances and not everybody who disagrees with you is a "bad faith right wing bias"-what so ever.
I think you are mischaracterizing it as "conservative v liberal". Many liberals follow conservatives and vice versa. We are in a different place than that. We are essentially debating facts and realities.
You mean in the overwhelming majority who voted in the primaries & general election for a racist felon that led a coup attempt? No. After years of engaging them, I can say those aren't reasonable people.
And this isn't a platform with a singular shared opinion. Just stop with the nonsense.
There are no reasonable conservatives left on X either. The reasonable conservatives were the ones voting to preserve democracy...we aren't arguing with them.
I think I largely agree with your last post. But now Bluesky = MSNBC and Twitter = Fox News? What does that get us? Ideally, I'd want a platform like this to be somewhere in the middle.
Exactly. Pretending like there is some civil discourse over fiscal responsibility is not what's going on. The right has dissolved into flat-out racist nutcases - those voices are amplified on X and its just a damn lie to pretend its anything BUT that.
1) The community here is also running off left-wing doom grifters. This is not a leftist echo chamber; if it's an echo chamber, it's a "sick of people's bullshit" echo chamber.
2) Reasonable conservatives have not been run off this site.
3) The idea that allowing us, the users, to curate our own feeds instead of having garbage hurled into our timeline is an "echo chamber" is absurdist nonsense at its root.
We follow the people we enjoy following. We have the inalienable right to ignore the people we can't stand.
You’re living in a fantasy. Twitter became a space where only hate, insults & name calling thrived. There was no dialogue or exchanges of different ideas that didn’t result in attacks. We were being continuously fed an unwanted feed of misinformation, deception, gaslighting & downright lies. Wake up
I don't agree with that analogy. There is no benefit to engaging with people who don't engage in facts or logic. It's not "conservative" opinion to believe the Clintons ran a pedophile ring in a pizza shop or joke that Michelle Obama is a man or that Haitian immigrants eat cats and dogs.
Sorry dude, but no. Fascism is not an idea to be debated, it’s a set of actions to fight. Continuing to work towards a negotiated peace with fascists is not reasonable, it is entering the realm of appeasement.
What about those whose minds are poised by fascist messages, but are themselves victims who might break free? Are they worth offering discourse and an open door? Or is that just a distraction with diminishing returns? Asking the void.

"oh lawd, why are you so reasonable!"
Unclear how treating bias as opinion in beneficial.
What's the upside of ignoring this ?
What does nice have to do with not wanting to entertain right wing bias masquerading as good faith ideology?

That's a false framework.
Factual
Information Vs disinformation aND algorithm bias.
