I missed this yesterday. Trump is considering offering all 57,000 Greenland residents a stipend of 10 grand a year to join the United States. That would cost the US $570 million a year. (Gift link 🎁)

This is what I figured would happen in Trump's efforts to gain control of Greenland. It's a lower number than I expected though. I expect people in key positions will be offered so much more.
